Director of Marketing

We are looking for an outgoing and energetic Director of Marketing to join our team! The Director of Marketing is a full-time position. The Director of Marketing will oversee the activities of managing the day-day operations, people, resources, and assets associated with the Marketing Department. The Director of Marketing is accountable for their performance and is the primary liaison between Riverside Center for the Performing Arts and local, community, and national sources of advertising. and will prepare and present statistical data related to their responsibilities.

The Director of Marketing ensures that the organization maintains positive and productive relationships with media, funders, donors, and other organizations. In this capacity, the Director of Marketing serves as a spokesperson for the RCPA.  Duties may include representing the organization to the media; The RCPA Director of Marketing will report to the CEO & Producing Artistic Director. The Director of Marketing will meet weekly with other RCPA Department Heads and update progress, reports and events scheduled. The Director of Marketing ensures that structures and procedures are in place for securing the resources required by the organization. PRODUCTION

Technical Director

The Technical Director reports to the Production Manager and Producing Artistic Director and Is Responsible for:

  • Providing build drawings for shop staff

  • purchasing materials and tracking scenic dept budgets

  • supervising and supporting construction and scene shop staff to ensure accuracy and quality standards

  • install scenery on stage in conjunction with shop staff

  • oversee and support work of run crew during rehearsals and performances

  • maintain theatre space as it relates to stage, rigging and production

  • oversee and lead rigging of scenery in accordance to ESTA standards

  • support other technical departments when required.

Stage Manager

The Stage Manager (PSM) is hired on a contract basis per show. They are responsible for overseeing the rehearsal process and all performances. The stage manager acts as the focal point for all show related communications. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, responsible, and detail oriented. As well as calling the show, they must keep a meticulous book that details all of the show’s movements and cues. They are contracted from the first production meeting through the stage management strike of the show.

Costume Dresser

The Dresser is a member of the Riverside Wardrobe Crew and is responsible for ensuring the successful running of performances for the costume department. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, have basic costume repair knowledge, can follow instructions, and is self-motivated to complete their daily responsibilities.

Sound Designer

Contract- Show by Show basis

Description:

The Sound Designer is responsible for choosing, editing, recording, and reproducing sounds and effects to create a design for theatrical productions. Additionally, the Sound Designer will provide audio support to both the audio engineer and board op as needed within the duration of the contract. This position will be responsible for the sound design and execution of the contracted show.

Requirements

- Ability to work closely with director and design team to create a cohesive sound design within the production 

- Expertise in Foley

- Familiarity with programs such as Qlab and editing software 

- Experience using Midas M32 boards and equipment 

- Basic audio engineering and board operating experience

Sound Engineer:

Description:

The Sound Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing sound equipment for productions, rehearsals, concerts, and events. The Sound Engineer will also foster researching improvements, set up equipment for productions, and manage additional audio crew as needed.

Requirements:

- Experience troubleshooting audio equipment 

- Working knowledge of Midas boards, Qlab, and sound systems as a whole 

- Basic experience as a board operator 

- Must be team-oriented and familiar with managing people in a healthy way

- Foster a creative mindset on how to make improvements 

- Excellent communication skills 

- Familiarity with handling repairs and managing rentals

Sound Board Operator:

$15/hour

Description:

The Sound Board Operator is responsible for mixing and ensuring the lack of audio technical issues for theatrical

rehearsals, productions, concerts, and events. Additionally, The Sound Board Operator will provide audio support in other areas throughout the venue as needed. 

Requirements:

- Expertise in troubleshooting equipment in a live, fast-paced environment

- Experience with Midas M32 or similar boards

- Familiarity with Qlab and running sound cues

Production Run Crew

Run Crew duties vary by the show’s needs, but overall, they are responsible for successfully running each production. Run Crew members work backstage during the run of a show, possible spotlight operator, and also participate in strike and load-in for each production.
