PRODUCTION

 

Technical Director

The Technical Director reports to the Production Manager and Producing Artistic Director and is responsible for purchasing construction materials, accurately tracking shop and individual show budgets, supervising the building of scenery, transporting set pieces from the shop to the theater stage, installation of scenery in the venue, overseeing the work of the scenic crews during rehearsals and performances, and maintaining the shop’s equipment and supplies.

 

Stage Manager

The Stage Manager (PSM) is hired on a contract basis per show. They are responsible for overseeing the rehearsal process and all performances. The stage manager acts as the focal point for all show related communications. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, responsible, and detail oriented. As well as calling the show, they must keep a meticulous book that details all of the show’s movements and cues. They are contracted from the first production meeting through the stage management strike of the show.

 

Properties Master

The Properties Master is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the prop stock and any rentals for the Riverside Center for the Performing Arts. This person will have knowledge of carpentry, welding, upholstery, crafting, set dressing, and painting, and budgeting. They will be well organized and have experience managing their time among multiple shows. The Properties Master will work closely with the Director and Production Manager to support a minimum of 6 mainstage shows and provide support to Children’s theater in addition to any additional show related activities.

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

 

Front of House Restaurant Manager

The Front of House Restaurant Manager of the Riverside Center for the Performing Arts is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the main restaurant/dinner theater, audience seating area and oversees all service staff. The Front of House Restaurant Manager is responsible for seeing that all patrons are welcomed and oversees their safety and well-being before, during and after the show. The Front of House Restaurant Manager is responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training of all servers, hostesses, assistants, and runners. The Front of House Restaurant Manager is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the theater dining room and contact areas. The Front of House Restaurant Manager strives to ensure that the Riverside Center for the Performing Arts continues to be a vital element of the community working to support the Mission and Vision, to create a positive work environment for all employees, and provide an outstanding experience for patrons.

 

Server

We are looking for a friendly Server to join our team! As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking customer orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that each customer has a positive dining experience. You will collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that orders are completed efficiently and accurately, and you’ll work closely with your team members to ensure that the meal service runs smoothly. Fundraising Specialist

The Fundraising Specialist for Riverside is an individual who has experience and demonstrated success in creating, implementing and driving fundraising strategies and programs for a nonprofit organization. The Fundraising Specialist’s responsibilities include developing fundraising strategies, recruiting sponsors/funding sources for theater productions, oversee all aspects of donor relations, organize fundraisers throughout the year and identify available grant opportunities.
