Starring Karen Grassle (TV’s Little House on the Prairie) - After experiencing an embarrassing backyard auto mishap, Mrs. Daisy Werthan, an elderly Jewish widow living in Atlanta, can no longer continue to drive. Her son, a well-to-do local businessman, insists she allow him to hire a driver, which in the 1950s meant an African-American man. “Miss Daisy” resists this change in her well-ordered life, but Hoke Colburn, the amiable driver, is hired on by her son. Though she refuses to allow him to drive her anywhere at first, Hoke slowly wins Daisy over with his native good graces, and after twenty years of driving adventures together, their relationship transcends all their differences.
